Swashbuckling Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav had a memorable outing in Mumbai Indians' ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as he slammed a magnificent fifty.

Coming at number three, the dynamic right-hander hammered the RCB bowlers all around the park, bringing up his half century in just 17 deliveries.

Hailed as India's Mr 360 degree, Suryakumar took a particular liking for ace RCB speedster Reece Topley, smacking him for three boundaries and a six on his way to a blistering fifty.

The incident occurred during the 13th over of MI's innings when they were in a commanding position, courtesy of Ishan Kishan's breathtaking knock and useful contributions from Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.

As Topley began his over with a slow ball, Surya punished him for a boundary through the third man.

The Englishman's third delivery went for a massive six over the backward point, thanks to Surya's incredible cross-batted slash, while his next two balls also got similar results, with the batter collecting two more boundaries.

In this process, Surya, who got out for a duck in the last game, brought up his fifty in style. However, soon after completing his half century, the explosive batter perished off Vijaykumar Vyshak's bowling.

However, he had done enough damage by then, as MI had already pushed RCB to the verge of a humiliating defeat.

As of writing, the hosts were cruising towards the 197-run target, placed at 187 for three in 14.4 overs, with Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma unbeaten in the middle.
