Veteran Indian keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik exhibited his hard-hitting prowess yet again, as he slammed a scintillating fifty in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Mumbai Indians. 

Coming at number six, the experienced campaigner struck five boundaries and four maximums on his way to a breezy 23-ball 53*, helping RCB get a fitting finish to their innings. 

He took a particular liking for young MI pacer Akash Madhwal, whom he smashed in the final over of the innings. 

Bowling the last over of RCB's innings, Madhwal had a great start, conceding only a solitary run off his first two balls. 

However, he couldn't hold his nerves against RCB's go-to finisher Dinesh Karthik, who smashed a six to get him under the pump. 


The swashbuckling keeper-batter followed it up with another six before dispatching Madhwal's penultimate delivery to the fence for a boundary. 

With the glorious four, Karthik brought up his half-century, ensuring RCB finished things on a high note. 

Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah's spectacular spell reduced the visitors to 153 for six with a few deliveries left at one stage. However, Karthik's timely fireworks powered them to a formidable 196-run total in 20 overs.
