Virat Kohli has been impressive in the World Cup 2023 so far. He has smashed 1000+ runs this year and become the player to do this eight times. In the 33rd game of the World Cup 2023, India are facing the Sri Lankan team and Virat Kohli fell 12 runs short of his century. 

With his knock of 88 runs today, Virat has smashed his 10th fifty-plus score in this year. On the other hand, Shubman Gill, who is enjoying his purple patch in international cricket, also fell short of eight runs of scoring his first World Cup hundred. 

Shubman Gill is on the top of this list with 12 fifty-plus scores in ODI cricket in the year 2023 followed by Pathum Nissanka and Babar Azam, who have 11 fifty-plus scores. Then comes the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who have ten fifty-plus scores each. 

After a couple of rough years, Virat Kohli is having the perfect year so far. With a few more games left this year, Kohli will be looking to capitalise on these games and help the Indian team lift the World Cup Trophy.
