Jasprit Bumrah is one of the leading bowlers in world cricket and has the ability to produce wicket-taking deliveries on the flattest of decks. He has been brilliant in World Cup 2023 and has produced some jaffas, playing a big role in India's unbeaten run so far. In the game against Sri Lanka, he has once again displayed his class and got the big wicket of Nissanka on the very first delivery of Sri Lanka's innings.

Nissanka has been the leading run-scorer for Sri Lanka in this World Cup and his wicket on the very first ball was a big blow to the Lankans. Bumrah's class is unmatchable when he is in his groove and the delivery to Nissanka was almost unplayable.

It pitched on a good length on middle, angling in bit it seamed away beautifully to beat Nissanka completely. The Sri Lankan opener tried to defend it but was beaten on the outside edge as the ball hit on his back leg. A big appeal followed and the umpire raised his finger bringing a loud cheer at the historic Wankhede Stadium.

Nissanka though took a chance by taking DRS but the replays showed three red and Nissanka was left high and dry with India starting off with a bang.
