In a remarkable feat of batting prowess, Virat Kohli, the superstar batter of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), reached yet another milestone in his illustrious IPL career by surpassing the 7500-run mark during a match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR).

RR skipper Sanju Samson invited RCB to bat first in an IPL 2024 clash held earlier today at Jaipur. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis meant business right from the start as they stitched a 100 runs opening stand.

Virat Kohli, in particular, seemed in sublime form as he took on the formidable pace attack of RR with utmost ease and fearlessness. Kohli slammed a fifty comprising four boundaries and three sixes.

Not only that, Kohli surpassed Australian legendary opener David Warner in the list of most runs scored in T20 format. Warner held fifth place with 12,143 runs. But Virat edged past him with his remarkable half-century against Rajasthan Royals.

Notably, Virat Kohli also holds the record for most runs in a single IPL edition, further cementing his legacy as a batting maestro in the franchise league tournament. 

That being said, Virat Kohli's milestone was a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and his relentless pursuit of greatness on the cricket field. Even after 16 years, the batting legend is getting better and stronger each day.

Meanwhile, given Kohli and Faf's unshakable opening partnership, RCB unlocked its highest opening stand of the season. It's time for the duo to switch gears to capitalise on the momentum and ensure RCB finishes with a par score.
