The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are off to a flying start, courtesy, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. The duo took on the potent attack of Trent Boult and Nandre Burger with utmost ease and have taken their side to a stage, from where they charge towards 200.

It was Kohli, who started out on an aggressive note and played some aggressive shots against the RR new ball attack. However, as the spinners came on, he became slightly defensive and was not able to time the ball at will.

Someone needed to take that extra risk and du Plessis did exactly that - starting off with two colossal hit off Trent Boult. 

In the 9th over, he smacked Boult for two huge hits, the first one being over the cow corner region. He completed the over with another back-foot pull towards the same region as Boult was taken to the cleaners.

Soon, Kohli joined the party as he completed his 3rd fifty of the tournament, and also completed 7500 runs in IPL.

At the time of writing, the RCB duo are still going strong. They have added 128 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket. Faf du Plessis was eventually dismissed for a well-compiled 44.
