Virat Kohli Hits 50 vs LSG; RCB Legend Beats Warner To Become Player With Most IPL Fifties

Virat Kohli is known as the chase-master and in the pressure game against LSG, the batter has once again stepped with a quickfire fifty. He came out with great intent right from the onset and kept playing hits shots despite the loss of some star players early in the chase.

Virat Kohli Leads From The Front In A Massive Run-Chase Of 228 vs LSG

The batter in the process hit his 63rd IPL fifty, and went past David Warner who has 62 fifties in the league. Virat Kohli crossed the landmark in his 257th IPL innings while Warner took 184 innings to score 62 fifties. Virat's fifty came with a boundary, and he got there in just 27 balls.

List Of Most Fifties In IPL History

Virat Kohli also crossed 600-run mark in an IPL season for the fifth time and it is the most for any batter in the league's history. It is overall, 8th fifty for Kohli in IPL 2025 and fifth while chasing this season. Kohli though could not carry on, and get a big score, as he departed on 54 off the bowling of Avesh Khan.

Talking about most fifties in IPL history, Shikhar Dhawan is third in the list with 51 half-centuries. Rohit Sharma has 46 fifties while KL Rahul has 40 and they take the number 4 and 5 spots respectively. Virat Kohli also tops the list for most runs in IPL and has eight centuries in the league. Thus, the only thing that is missing from his IPL CV is the title.
