In a high-scoring night at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh delivered one of the most dominant batting performances in Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) history. 

Batting first on a flat deck, LSG found themselves in early trouble at 25/1. But what followed was a stunning counterattack. Marsh and Pant joined forces in the third over and went on to build a massive 152-run partnership for the second wicket, rewriting LSG's record books.

Pant-Marsh's Partnership Etches History For LSG In IPL

The partnership between Marsh and Pant now ranks second on the all-time list for LSG across any wicket. The pair batted for 78 balls and decimated RCB’s bowling with clean hitting and tactical brilliance.

Marsh and Pant Blaze Through Bengaluru

After losing Matthew Breetzke for 14 in the third over, Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant took control of the innings. Marsh played the aggressor’s role early on, hammering 67 runs off just 37 balls, including four fours and five sixes, before falling to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 16th over. Pant, however, carried on and dominated the second half of the innings with an explosive knock.

Pant remained unbeaten on a sensational 118 off 61 deliveries. The LSG captain struck 11 boundaries and cleared the ropes eight times, lifting his side to a mammoth 227 for 3 in their 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran chipped in briefly with 13 off 10, while Abdul Samad faced only one delivery at the end.
