India Under-19 captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to cash in on his blistering form with the bat, this time flaying the South African Under-19 bowlers in Benoni. A couple of days after scorching the South African attack with a match-winning 24-ball 68, Suryavanshi blasted a 63-ball century in the third ODI of the three-match Youth ODI series at the same venue.

The innings marked Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s second Under-19 century in less than a month, after he clattered a herculean 95-ball 171 against UAE at the start of the Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai back in December.

Opening the innings with Aaron George in the third Youth ODI match against South Africa Under-19 at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni, Vaibhav Suryavanshi tonked 127 runs from just 74 balls with nine cracking boundaries and 10 huge sixes.

The teenage batting sensation raced to his half-century from just 24 balls, and took another 39 deliveries to slap a 63-ball hundred. The 14-year-old ended up forging a 227-run opening partnership in just 25.4 overs with partner George, who himself raced to 93* by the time of the former’s dismissal at the hands of South Africa’s Ntando Soni.

A couple of days ago, Vaibhav Suryavanshi charted 68 runs off just 24 balls with a boundary and 10 sixes to make lightwork of South Africa’s 245 in a revised 27-overs chase. Moreover, just last month, the youngster went ballistic against UAE at the Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai with a six-laden knock of 171 runs from 95 balls.

The explosive left-handed opener continued his prolific run with a monumental 190-run knock in 84 balls in the Vijay Hazare Trophy as Bihar mounted a world record total of 574-6 in 50 overs.
