Vaibhav Suryavanshi had a memorable outing in Bihar's inaugural Vijay Hazare Trophy against Arunachal Pradesh, as he hammered a sensational hundred. The swashbuckling southpaw smashed 190 runs off just 84 balls, thereby recording multiple milestones.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bihar had a fabulous start to their innings, courtesy of Vaibhav Suryavanshi's fireworks. While his opening partner Mangal Mahrour was dismissed for 33 runs, Suryavanshi continued his onslaught on Arunachal's depleted bowling attack.
He eventually brought up his century in just 36 balls and finished his innings on 190 runs before being dismissed by Techi Neri. However, Vaibhav Suryavanshi's stunning knock helped him shatter several elite milestones, as mentioned below.
Suryavanshi records 4th fastest century in List-A cricket by an Indian
Vaibhav Suryavanshi's 36-ball hundred is the fourth fastest List-A century by an Indian batter. Sakibul Gani holds the record for the fastest List-A hundred on the list, having slammed a 32-ball ton, with Ishan Kishan (33-ball hundred) and Anmolpreet Singh (35-ball hundred) claiming the second and third spots, respectively.
Suryavanshi is youngest to score a century in List-A cricket
Vaibhav Suryavanshi's 84-ball 190 marked his first century in List-A cricket. He struck his maiden ton aged 14 years and 272 days, thereby becoming the youngest batter to slam a hundred in the 50-over format.
Suryavanshi registers highest individual score for Bihar in VHT history
Vaibhav Suryavanshi narrowly missed his double hundred, departing for 190 runs in the 27th over of the innings. Nevertheless, this is the highest individual score by a Bihar batter. Suryavanshi went past MD Rahmatullah, who held the record for seven years with an unbeaten 156*-run knock.
Most runs through boundaries in a List-A match
Vaibhav Suryavanshi also joined Rohit Sharma, Martin Guptill and Ishan Kishan on the list of batters with the most runs through boundaries in a single List-A match. While Rohit, Guptill and Ishan claim the first three spots, Suryavanshi, having smashed 154 out of 190 runs through boundaries, is placed fourth on the list.
