The sixth match of Women’s Hundred will be played between Manchester Originals and London Spirit on Saturday, August 5 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.

Manchester Originals Women 

They are yet to play their first game in the tournament as their opening match against Welsh Fire was abandoned without a ball being bowled. The 2022 season was tough for Manchester Originals, who won only two out of six matches, finishing sixth on the points table. 

However, with a new captain, Sophie Ecclestone, this year brings renewed hope for them. The team's batting unit is their strength, featuring star T20 players like Laura Wolvaardt, Deandra Dottin, and Kathryn Bryce. However, their bowling lineup lacks depth, with Sophie Ecclestone being the only seasoned performer on their roster. 

London Spirit Women  

Their opening game against Oval Invincibles was also abandoned due to rain, and they are yet to take the field in the tournament for the first time. The last season was abysmal for London Spirits, but they are eager to make amends this year. 

Heather Knight will lead the charge as captain, and the team boasts some of the finest T20 players, including Charlie Dean, Grace Harris, and Amelia Kerr. The presence of India's hard-hitting batter, Richa Ghosh, in the middle order adds an extra layer of excitement.
