West Indies and South Africa will be facing each other in the 10th match of the Super Eights in the T20 World Cup 2024. This match will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound Antigua on June 24 at 6:00 AM IST.

This will be a do-or-die match for the two teams. If England win their match against the USA, then the team that wins the game will qualify for the semi-finals. In the battle for survival, both teams will be putting their heart into keeping themselves in the race for the coveted trophy.

Team Previews

West Indies

West Indies had a great run in the group stages where they won all their matches to emerge at the top and qualify for the Super Eights. However, they suffered a setback in the first game of the Super Eight stage as they faced a heavy defeat against the defending champions, England. But the co-hosts of the tournament made a quick comeback in the next match and decimated the US to do a world of good to their net run rate. 

The West Indian side will once again look at their prime performers like Nicholas Pooran, Akeal Hosein, and Andre Russell to deliver in this game while others also put up their hands in their time of need. 

South Africa

The South African team has not yet been defeated in the tournament. They have won all six of their matches and yet find themselves in a fix on their path to the top four. 

Though South Africa have not lost a match yet, they have had some nervy moments against some of the unexpected opponents. But so far, so good; the Proteans have found ways to bail themselves out of the pressure situations. But in a crucial match, their history of choking in important matches might come to haunt them. 

However, Aiden Markram will try to inspire his team to win this game and get into the top four.
