The stage is set for the 33rd match of the Big Bash League (BBL) as the Sydney Thunder will collide with Perth Scorchers at the Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney. Both the sides are in the top half of the points table and will look to get the better of the other team as the tournament is approaching towards the business end.

The Thunder, led by David Warner have been outstanding in the tournament and occupy the second spot in the table, meanwhile, Scorchers have had a topsy-turvy campaign and sit at the fourth spot with 3 wins from 6 matches.

Both the sides will be gunning for a win, but apart from their batters and skilled bowlers, rain is also an important factor which could decide the fate of the contest.

As per Accuweather, the temperature will be around 23 degrees celsius and it will be partly cloudy and humid with a breeze in the evening.

There is just 7% chance of rain and during match time there is no rain prediction and the contest will go smoothly between Scorchers and Thunder. In-fact, the weather is good till Wednesday and the rain will take place on Thursday.

What happened the last time these two teams met?

The two sides met on January 3 and it was a nail-biting contest as the Thunder clinched the win on the last ball of the match.

The Warner led side needed a tricky 178 runs to win and the side looked in deep trouble but Sherfane Rutherfor pulled off a blinder and sealed the win with a last ball boundary.
