Taskin Ahmed and Litton Das both have played cricket together for Bangladesh and have done so quite successfully. The two are one of the most talented cricketers in Bangladesh and the battle between the two in BPL has always been fascinating.

On Sunday, 12th of January, BCB announced Bangladesh's squad for Champions Trophy 2025 and Litton Das is absent from that side. It probably triggered Litton Das and the talented opener came out all guns blazing in the BPL encounter between Dhaka Capitals and Durbar Rajshahi.

Das smashed 125 off just 55 balls which included 10 fours and nine sixes and Taskin Ahmed was the only bowlers in Rajshahi's lineup who bowled well. He gave away 29 runs off four overs, but he too was frustrated and one of those moments came in the penultimate over of the first innings.

On the second ball of the over, Taskin Ahmed bowled a perfect yorker, around off. Litton Das somehow managed to get his bat down in time and the ball went off the outside half of his blade towards the third man fence for a boundary. Taskin could not believe his luck and just smiled while walking back to his mark.

Litton eventually ended his innings at a score of 125 and his unbeaten knock along with a century from Tanzid Hasan took Dhaka Capitals to the highest-ever total in BPL history. They ended up winning the game by 149 runs with all their bowlers contributing in a clinical display.
