After securing a thumping 111-run victory in the third ODI, hosts South Africa will take on Australia in the fourth game of the five-match series on Friday. The encounter, which promises to be an absolute nail-biter, will be played at the iconic SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The third ODI between the two teams saw South Africa thrash the visitors by a whopping margin in Potchefstroom. Batting first, the Proteas posted a massive 338-run total on the board, thanks to a scintillating hundred from Aiden Markram and useful contributions from Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock. In response, Australia collapsed for a paltry 227 in spite of a breezy knock from David Warner.

So, as the Proteas aim at making it two-all, let's see how the surface in Centurion is expected to play throughout the game.

SuperSport Park Centurion Pitch Report

The surface at the SuperSport Park in Centurion generally offers favourable batting conditions, as the ball comes nicely onto the bat. Traditionally, the batters have enjoyed their time in the middle at the venue, with the track's pace and bounce aiding in stroke play. But as it is an afternoon game, we might expect a hint of turn off the deck in the first innings.

However, as the sun sets, the pacers will likely get subtle seam movement in the evening. So, the batters must spend some time in the middle before taking on the opposition. As the chasing teams have been more successful at the venue than those who have batted first, the toss-winner will likely bowl first.
