Quinton de Kock is undoubtedly one of the most talented cricketers in the cricketing world and whenever he gets going, there are few players who can match his class and finesse. His effortless hitting is a treat to watch, and in the third ODI against Australia, de Kock displayed all his range with a blistering 82 off 77 balls. The knock included 10 fours and 2 sixes and after a slow start, the man just took off and smashed some mighty blows against quality Aussie pacers.

South Africa lost the opening two ODIs of the five-match series against Australia and need to win third ODI to keep the series alive. The Proteas needed their senior players to stand up and Quinton de Kock along with Bavuma did exactly that with a brilliant 146-run stand in the 23rd over.

Quinton de Kock's Carnage After Slow Start

Quinny, as Quinton de Kock is fondly known is generally quick to get off the blocks but uncharacteristically, struggled to get going initially in this knock. He was on 3 off 18 balls at the end of 6 overs but suddenly went into the top gear as he smashed Hazlewood for a six and a four in the 7th over. In the next over, he did the same to Abbott and just was unstoppable after that.

He got to his fifty on the 48th ball with a lovely drive through covers and it is his 30th fifty in ODIs. He hit two sixes and the first one of the them was smashed out of the ground as he pulled it all the way over deep square leg with typical Quinton de Kock swag.

Quinny eventually scored 82 off 77 balls and it was the off-spin of Head that got the better of him. However, he set the platform for a huge score as South Africa look to stay alive in the series in front of their passionate home crowd.
