As confirmed by Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli will be back in action for India when they clash against Afghanistan on Sunday (January 14) in the second T20I of the three-match series at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. However, Shubman Gill, who played in the series opener in place of Yashasvi Jaiswal, has been dropped.

Rohit, meanwhile, won the toss for the second time in a row against Afghanistan, and similar to what he did last time, he chose to bowl first.

Apart from Kohli’s return, the other change that the Men in Blue made was bringing back Jaiswal, of course. The southpaw missed out on the first T20I due to a soar in the right groin, and now he is ready to be back in the mix. For Afghanistan, Noor Ahmad, the boy who made a name for himself in the IPL for the Gujarat Titans, has been recalled, replacing Rahmat Shah.
