[Watch] Babar Azam Gives ‘Back Bump’ To Azam Khan For His Outrageous Grab

Azam Khan, son of Pakistan’s one of the greatest wicket-keepers Moin Khan, has returned to the national set-up in the ongoing five-match T20I series in New Zealand. The 25-year-old, who has been massively body-shamed due to his healthy physique, silenced a lot of critics after showing excellent reflexes while keeping behind the stumps on Sunday (January 14).

And, to make matters more applauding, due to his outrageous effort, he was massively lauded by Pakistan’s former skipper Babar Azam, and that too in a unique manner.

Having picked up two wickets in two balls, Haris Rauf was on a hat-trick during the last over of New Zealand’s innings at Seddon Park, Hamilton. However, the hat-trick ball was wayward, and Azam was sharp behind the stumps to avoid a certain boundary plus wide. He dived to his left in perfection and grabbed it superbly to save a few extra runs for his team.

Placed at the short fine leg, Babar saw what Azam did, and he gave a ‘back bump’ to him, the opposite of what the Bryan brothers (Bob and Mike) do in tennis.

Meanwhile, Pakistan have a target of 195 in the second T20I of the five-match series, and if they get the job done, the series will be 1-1.
