Mumbai Indians are up against Punjab Kings in the all-important Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025. Punjab Kings have won the toss and have decided to bowl first, but just when the match was about to begin, it started raining.

Since then, the rain is playing hide and seek, and the players are trying hard to keep themselves busy with training and warm-up exercises. Punjab Kings skipper, Shreyas Iyer, is also doing the same, and was seen juggling balls to increase his concentration. It is a common practice used by the players before the start of the action, and Punjab Kings skipper seems focussed on the task in front of him.

Shreyas Iyer took over the leadership of Punjab Kings this season after the franchise bought him for 26.75 Crore. He started off the season with a brilliant 97 and Punjab Kings have performed brilliantly under him to top the league stage. They failed miserably against RCB in the Qualifier 1, but now have another great chance to make it to the final by beating Mumbai Indians.

If the rain does not allow any cricket, Punjab Kings will qualify for the final on account of their superior standing on the points table. There is no reserve day, so rain is a bigger threat for Mumbai Indians than Punjab Kings.

However, there is still lot of time left before the match gets abandoned, and both teams would be hoping that it is cricket that decides the second finalist and not an external factor like rain.
