In the ongoing fifth Test between India and England at the Oval in London, tempers flared between Sai Sudharsan and England players, particularly Ben Duckett as the latter poked India opener after his dismissal in the second innings.

Notably, on the 2nd ball of the 18th over, Gus Atkinson trapped Sudharsan in front of the wicket and the umpire raised his finger. After a long discussion with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sudharsan took the DRS, but the replay showed three-reds.

As soon as the youngster walked towards the pavilion, he returned to confront the England huddle, who seemingly poked the southpaw. Sai is usually known for his calm demeanour and this was likely the first occasion when he lost his cool on the pitch.

Out of all the cricketers, it looked like Ben Duckett had remarked something that hurt Sai. The southpaw returned to confront the England opener and hurled a few words in exchange before Harry Brook played the role of a mediator and asked the left-handed batter to return to the pavilion.

Sai Sudharsan Ends The Series In Disappointment

Sai was presented to make his India debut in the first Test of the series. The 23-year-old couldn't shine on his maiden Test as the southpaw scored a duck and 30 runs in the second innings.

It led to his ouster from the team, but the management showed faith in the youngster following Karun Nair's string of poor knocks. Sai was brought back to the playing XI in the fourth Test, where he slammed a fifty.

As things looked good for the 23-year-old, he registered a duck in the second innings to become the centre of trolls. Even in the ongoing Test, Sai could only amass 49 runs and failed to deliver a century run knock on his debut series.
