R Sai Kishore's IDream Tiruppur lifted their maiden IPL trophy since the tournament's inception back in 2016. The win is special for Kishore since, this is his third win as captain and his first TNPL title win and that too against the defending champions, DindigulmDragons.
The match, however, was pretty one-sided. Tiruppur dominated with both the bat and the ball to absolutely obliterate Dindigul in every possible way. Let's take a look at how the match panned out.
Tiruppur Dominate Dindigul With The Bat To Post 220
IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans put up a dominant batting display to score 220/5 in their 20 overs against Dindigul Dragons. Opener Tushar Raheja led the charge with a quickfire 77 off 46 balls, smashing 6 fours and 4 sixes, while Amith Sathvik added a blazing 65 from 34 deliveries. The duo stitched a 121-run opening stand that laid the perfect platform.
Useful cameos from S Mohamed Ali, U Sasidev, and Anovankar V added to Dindigul's burn with their contributions. Despite trying six bowlers, Dindigul struggled to contain the run flow, with Karthik Saran (2/44) being the only bowler with multiple wickets.
Dindigul Chokes In Front Of Tiruppur's Bowling Attack
With the ball, the Tamizhans produced a commanding bowling performance to bowl out Dindigul Dragons for just 102 in 14.4 overs, sealing a massive 118-run win and lifting the TNPL 2025 trophy. Defending 220, Tiruppur’s bowlers struck early and often, never allowing Dindigul to settle.
Ragupathy Silambarasan led the attack with 2/12, removing skipper Ashwin and Vimal Khumar. Esakkimuthu A and S Mohan Prasath chipped in with two wickets each, while T Natarajan provided a crucial early breakthrough.
The Dragons lost half their side inside seven overs, and with Shivam Singh absent hurt, they were bundled out swiftly. Tiruppur’s disciplined, attacking bowling sealed their dominance in the final and earned them a well-deserved championship win.
