Indian skipper Rohit Sharma entered the history books on Wednesday, June 5, after he became the third player to complete 4000 T20I runs.  In the match between India and Ireland, Rohit scored  52 (37), which included four fours and three sixes. The Hitman became the 3rd player after Virat Kohli and Babar Azam to reach this milestone. 

Before the start of India-Ireland match at the Nassau International Stadium, Rohit required 26 runs to enter the elite list. Rohit took 152 innings to complete 4000 runs. Further, the 37-year-old also became the fastest player to complete 4000 runs in terms of balls faced. 

Rohit beat Virat Kohli for this feat as he took 2860 balls to reach this milestone, forty less than Virat. Here is the complete list of players who took fewest balls to 4000 runs.

Also, Rohit joined Virat in the list of  players scoring 4000+ runs in all formats. Notably, Rohit went to script several other feats against Ireland as he also smashed three sixes and brought up 600 maximums in T20Is. Adding on, the Hitman also completed 1000 runs in T20I World Cup history.
