Ritika Sajdeh was in the stands on Wednesday (June 5) to support Team India when they were up against Ireland in Match 8 of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in New York. The Indian captain did not disappoint, smashing 52 off 37 balls before he was retired hurt due to injury precautions.

During Rohit's entertaining knock, there were four fours and three sixes, a ball from Irish left-arm quick Josh Little troubled him. It was the second ball of the ninth over, which was a back-of-a-length delivery, tempting Rohit to go big.

However, the pace beat Rohit, as the ball went on to hit his shoulder. There was a loud appeal for caught out as soon as the catch was taken, and hence, Ireland went for a DRS to challenge the decision.

The replay, however, confirmed there was no touch of Rohit's bat or gloves with the ball. Therefore, the decision remained firm, while Ireland lost the review.

Ritika, along with their daughter Samaira, were there, and as soon as the decision got overturned, she was relieved after a caring gesture.

Meanwhile, India defeated Ireland by eight wickets, seeing off a paltry 97-run target in just 12.2 overs.
