For the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign opener match against Ireland, India took some hard steps and left out the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal. The decision did not go well with the fans as they took to social media to criticise the management.
Sanju Samson, who enjoys a great fan following started trending online as he was dropped following a poor warm-up match. Meanwhile, the management went ahead with Axar Patel as the second spinner alongside Ravindra Jadeja which upset Kuldeep and Chahal fans. The fans even accused the management of favouritism and doing politics by benching their favourite stars.
India are eyeing their 2nd T20 World Cup trophy and also looking to end 11-year long ICC title drought. After Ireland, the Men in Blue have an important tie against Pakistan on June 9 at the same venue.
