In the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma becomes the first men's cricketer to feature in 150 T20I games. Having made his T20I debut back in 2007 against England in the inaugural T20 World Cup, Rohit has come a long way.

In 150 games, Rohit has smashed over 3800 runs and is the second-highest run-scorer in the T20I format. In the ongoing second T20 against Afghanistan,Rohit is on the verge of equalling the record of MS Dhoni for most wins as the T20I captain of the Indian team. He also holds the record for hitting most centuries in the shortest format of the game and now Glenn Maxwell and Suryakumar Yadav have equalled this particular record.

Entering the 17th year of his T20I career, Rohit has achieved too many feats in the shortest format and has won games single-handedly for the Indian team. He even led the T20I side to win the Nidahas Trophy and also led the team to the semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2022, which took place in Australia.

Rohit Sharma becomes the first player to appear in 150 T20 International games

The first player to appear in the longest and the 50-over formats was Allan Border, while Rohit Sharma became the first one to feature in 150 T20Is. Having won the T20 World Cup 2007 as a player, Rohit would be aiming to lift the upcoming T20 World Cup, as this one might be his last opportunity as a leader to win a World Cup.

However, Rohit is yet to bat in his 150 games, he would be looking to make this occasion a special one with some runs under his name tonight.
