Riyan Parag, the right-handed batter from Assam, smashes yet another ton in the Ranji Trophy game against Kerala. He came into the middle when the Assamese batters were struggling and went three down for just 25 runs. Not only did he help the team recover from the collapse, but he also played a stellar knock of 116 before getting out against Suresh Vishweshwar.

The young Riyan is enjoying the prime time of his career and has already smashed a truckload of runs during the last year in all the domestic tournaments. He was also a part of the India A squad for the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 and helped the team reach the final with his all-round efforts.

Riyan Parag showcases his class by smashing back-to-back tons

In his first Ranji Game of this season which was against Chattisgarh, Riyan hammered the bowlers in the second innings and went on to play fearlessly, scoring 155 runs off just 87 deliveries. Coming into this game, Riyan was booming with high confidence, with runs under his belt, and displaying character in the middle.

This time Riyan was in a tricky situation. Having lost three wickets early with a mammoth trail of 419 runs, he stepped up his game and got his team out of a miserable situation, scoring 116 runs out of 125 deliveries. This innings will always be special for him, considering the way he absorbed the pressure and spent time in the middle, which is the total opposite of his gameplay as he likes to take on the bowlers.

However, he turned out to be the lone wolf in the first innings as the Assam are still around 200 runs behind Kerala and will need to level up their bowling in order to turn things around in their favour.
