Shivam Dube re-announced his arrival in the international arena in style in India’s ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan at home. Just when Hardik Pandya is recovering and India need a seam-bowling all-rounder, Dube has started delivering with both bat and ball to give the Men in Blue think tank a ‘good headache’ before they go into the T20 World Cup 2024.

After a clinical all-round performance in the first T20I in Mohali, Dube was rewarded with the Man of the Match award. The 30-year-old carried the momentum in the second T20I as well, as his blistering knock, as of writing, has taken India to on the verge of an unassailable 2-0 lead.

The best part of Dube’s knock came during the 10th over of India’s innings. Mohammad Nabi, the veteran Afghanistan all-rounder was at the receiving end, as Dube slammed him left, right, and centre to make him look like a properly clueless individual.

Not once, not twice, Dube smashed three back-to-back sixes against Nabi, two over cow corner, whereas one over long on.

As of now, India need two more runs with 29 balls to go after coming to chase 173. Dube, batting on 63* off 30 balls, has a chance to finish things off.
