Indian cricket’s promising top-order batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal, wooed the fans with a magnificent century against England in the Vizag Test earlier today.

As India opted to bat first against England in Vizag, the hosts faced an early setback after losing skipper Rohit Sharma in the first hour of the play.

Just when Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were building up a partnership, James Anderson trapped Gill with a conventional Test length delivery. However, while the madness unfolded from one end, a young Jaiswal held his ground at the other end.

Jaiswal played his shots and put the spin attack under pressure. His positive intent against Joe Root and Tom Hartley astonished fans from all across the globe.

Despite scoring a 50, Jaiswal refused to slow down and kept the scoreboard ticket. In the 49th over of the first inning, Jaiswal brought up his hundred in style. He danced down the track to get to the pitch of the ball and slammed it over the stands to register a scintillating ton against the odds.

The batter soaked in the applause from the dressing room and the crowd and blew a kiss to heaven to celebrate the milestone.

Meanwhile, the fans thronged X (previously known as Twitter) to celebrate Jasiwal’s century. The reactions were heartwarming as the fans were moved by the kid’s resilience and extraordinary skill set against quality opposition.
