Indian captain Rohit Sharma's performance in Test cricket remains a concern, as he struggled to capitalise on his innings once again against England in the ongoing second Test at Vizag. 

Having opened the innings for India alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit looked to be struggling against the England pace spearhead, James Anderson, before ultimately falling to debutant Shoaib Bashir. 

Bashir bowled a length ball pitching on the off stump and turning back in. Rohit, planting his front leg early in an attempt to clip it to the on side, made contact but sent it straight to Ollie Pope stationed on the leg side. 

Rohit could only manage 14 runs from 44 balls. In the first test against England, he scored 39 in the first innings and 24 in the second. Even in the South Africa tour's two-match test series, his bat stayed silent.
