Pakistan ex-captain Babar Azam's Q&A session on Twitter space was interrupted by teammate Mohammad Rizwan as the latter left Azam uncomfortable with a cheeky query related to his future plans for marriage.
Babar Azam has kicked off his preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup. After being the team's lead run-getter in the T20 series versus New Zealand, the ex-skipper is showing flashes of brilliance in the ongoing BPL 2024 with Rangpur Riders. He will move to PSL later this month to lead his side, Peshawar Zalmi.
Having said that, in the midst of all the on-field chaos, Babar Azam took some time off to interact with fans. He hosted an official Q&A session on his 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) space and answered a few fan queries related to his current form, opinions on some cricketing subjects, and overall future plans with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan interrupted the live session out of nowhere and pleaded to be heard. He wanted to ask a question, and Babar obliged, knowing Rizwan's unserious behavior.
However, Rizwan's cheeky query left Babar Azam stumped. He asked the batter to reveal his marriage plans on the open forum. Needless to say, Babar was uncomfortable and asked Rizwan to drop the conversation and that he would address his query personally.
However, the wicket-keeper stood his ground and pulled Babar's leg. Eventually, Rizwan let Babar off the hook and praised his Q&A session.
The humorous conversation quickly went viral as the Pakistani teammates' witty nature was adored by the fans.
That being said, both Babar Azam and Rizwan are currently in Bangladesh for the BPL season. The duo is awaiting a big challenge to stay competitive in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The responsibility to rebrand and rebuild Pakistan cricket will fan Babar and Rizwan's shoulders.
