Rashid Khan picked up the 150th wicket of his IPL career by deceiving Punjab Kings’ firebrand opener Priyansh Arya in match five of the IPL 2025 season. Employed right after the opening powerplay by Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill, Rashid trapped Arya with a length delivery around middle and off stump.
By completing 150 wickets, the Afghanistan-based enigma machine has now joined the likes of Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah and others for an illustrious IPL record of becoming one of the fastest cricketers to reach the landmark figure. Rashid Khan picked up the 150th wicket of his IPL career in his 122nd innings. The cricketer made his IPL debut back in 2017 for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise. After spending five seasons with the ‘Orange Army’, Rashid was roped in by the Gujarat Titans for the 2022 edition of the tournament.
As of now, he is sitting on an illustrious pile of 150 wickets from just 122 innings at an impressive bowling average of 21.82 in IPL.
