As per Accuweather, the rain chances were 60-65 percent before ther start of the match and the predictions came true as at the moment, it is pelting down, with the entire ground being covered by the groundstaff.

The only positive thing is that Old Trafford has an excellent drainage system, and if the rain stops on time, there is a chance for a shortened match being fit in. 


Accuweather has also predicted that there is a 92 percent chance of rain during the game. However, it does say that it would be light rain, and there could be a chance for the play to resume.

So far, the series has been an excellent prospect for the fans. Both the matches witnessed high-scoring clashes, with Travis Head leading the charge in the first match. He even took 30 runs off Sam Curran's over as Australia won the 1st T20I comfortably.

In the second match, the Aussie scored 193, and despite posting a big total, Phil Salt (39) and Liam Livingstone (87) took the game away and helped England level the series.

After the third T20I, the caravan will shift towards the ODI series. The home team announced their ODI squad, with Jos Buttler missing out due to a calf injury. In his place, Harry Brook will lead the team.
