The Indian Women cricket team secured a crucial clean sweep in the 5-match T20 series against Bangladesh Women, winning all matches to claim a 0-5 victory. 

This series was particularly significant for India as they prepare for the Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh later this year.


India Post 156-5 with Key Contributions from Heavyweights

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, India lost Shafali Varma's wicket in the fifth over. Vice captain Smriti Mandhana and Dayalan Hemalatha then took the score to 62-2 in 8 overs, with Smriti getting out on the last ball of the over. 

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Hemalatha built a 60-run partnership, but India lost both wickets in consecutive balls. Sajana Sajeevan also fell cheaply, leaving India struggling at 124-5. 

However, Richa Ghosh's crucial innings rescued India as she guided the team to 156-5, scoring 28 runs from 21 balls. Shorifa Khatun (2-28) and Nahida Akter (2-27) claimed two wickets each for Bangladesh.


Radha Yadav masterclass destroys BAN batters

The Bangladeshi batters were never in the game as Indian bowlers took wickets at regular intervals, putting pressure on the hosts. 

Titas Sadhu struck in her second over to dismiss Sobhana Mostary, who was looking dangerous after hitting three boundaries. Radha Yadav made an impact in her first over, dismissing Dilara Akter. 

She further claimed the wickets of Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana and Rubya Haider in the 9th over, leaving Bangladesh struggling at 48-5. 

Despite Ritu Moni's fighting innings, Bangladesh fell short by 21 runs. Asha Sobhana, who debuted in the last game, took 2 wickets for India.

It was the Radha Yadav show at Sylhet International Stadium as she shone with the ball, taking 3 wickets and finishing with figures of 4-0-24-3. Radha Yadav was named the Player of the Match and also earned the Player of the Series award as well for her outstanding performance whole series.
