In match 66 of the IPL 2025 season, Punjab Kings posted a giant total of 206 runs on the board against Delhi Capitals. This is PBKS’ 7th 200+ run total this year, and they seemingly equalled GT’s record.

Despite qualifying for the playoffs, PBKS came out all guns blazing against DC to finish in the top 2 of the standings. Batting first, Shreyas Iyer anchored the inning with a gritty 53 off 34 balls. 

Moreover, Marcus Stoinis pulled off an astonishing finish, which helped Punjab post a formidable total on the board.

PBKS Make Records After Records In IPL 2025!

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis came out to bat at no. 7, and in just 16 balls, he hammered 44 runs with 3 fours and 4 sixes. His finish propelled PBKS to a 206-run total, which is their 7th 200+ run total in the IPL 2025 season.

Kings have equalled the record of scoring the most 200+ run totals in a single IPL season. Gujarat Titans previously scripted his record in the same tournament. Both GT and PBKS have qualified for the playoffs this year owing to their fiery batting lineup.

PBKS, led by Shreyas Iyer, have had a breakthrough IPL season this year. With 8 wins in 12 games, they’re seated at 2nd place in the points table and will certainly aim to retain a spot in the top 2.

The Qualifier 1 and eliminator games are scheduled at Mullanpur in Chandigarh, also the Kings’ home ground. Moreover, the loser of Qualifier 1 gets a second chance to challenge the winner of the Eliminator contest. Hence, PBKS will be desperate to get a seat in Qualifier 1.
