In match 66 of the IPL 2025 season, Punjab Kings posted a giant total of 206 runs on the board against Delhi Capitals. This is PBKS’ 7th 200+ run total this year, and they seemingly equalled GT’s record.
Despite qualifying for the playoffs, PBKS came out all guns blazing against DC to finish in the top 2 of the standings. Batting first, Shreyas Iyer anchored the inning with a gritty 53 off 34 balls.
Moreover, Marcus Stoinis pulled off an astonishing finish, which helped Punjab post a formidable total on the board.

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis came out to bat at no. 7, and in just 16 balls, he hammered 44 runs with 3 fours and 4 sixes. His finish propelled PBKS to a 206-run total, which is their 7th 200+ run total in the IPL 2025 season.
Kings have equalled the record of scoring the most 200+ run totals in a single IPL season. Gujarat Titans previously scripted his record in the same tournament. Both GT and PBKS have qualified for the playoffs this year owing to their fiery batting lineup.
