In a dramatic turn of events on the field, England's Ben Stokes bowled a quick, rising ball that left Zimbabwe's Wesley Madhevere bemused, leading to one of the finest catches of the match by Harry Brook at second slip. Brook’s effort not only stunned the fans but also the skipper, Stokes.

In a historic one-off Test between England and Zimbabwe, Stokes and co. dominated the proceedings. After declaring the first inning on 565/6, the Englishman bowled out Zimbabwe on 265 in the second inning, thus enforcing the follow-on.

Moreover, in the third inning, Zimbabwe showed resilience with a 122-run partnership between Ben Curran (37) and Sean Williams (88). However, Shoaib Bashir got the breakthrough and chipped in a few quick wickets.

Harry Brook Pulls Off An Aerial Catch To Stun Ben Stokes 

Zimbabwe’s Wessly Madhevere appeared in good touch during his 31-run knock off 36 balls, striking four crisp boundaries and playing with confidence. But just as he was settling in for a longer stay, Stokes delivered a short ball outside off stump. 

It skidded off the surface with extra bounce, catching Madhevere by surprise. Attempting to fend it off, he got an outside edge that flew quickly towards the slip cordon. 

Harry Brook, fielding in the second slip, was lightning quick. He leapt high into the air, extending his right hand to pull off a one-handed stunner. The ball stuck, and the crowd roared. Stokes was stunned, raising his arms in disbelief before breaking into a wide grin.

The wicket was a big moment for England. Madhevere had been looking solid and was capable of building a strong partnership. His dismissal broke Zimbabwe’s momentum and gave England a much-needed breakthrough.

Meanwhile, after Madhevere’s wicket, the Englishman further tightened the screws. Bashir bagged a six-wicket-haul to bowl out Zimbabwe on 255/10, thus sealing a dominant inning and 45-run win for England.
