Marcus Stoinis is one of the fearsome hitters of the cricket ball, and though he has not been in great form in IPL 2025, he has finally delivered against Delhi Capitals in Jaipur. He came out to bat at number 7 and started hitting from the onset. On the second ball of the 17th over, Stoinis blasted one into the crowd off the bowling of Mukesh Kumar and it was his 100th six in the Indian Premier League.

Marcus Stoinis' Cameo Of 44 Runs Take Punjab Kings Over 200

The Australian surpassed Abhishek Sharma who has 99 sixes currently, and Stoinis with a superb cameo has once again shown his worth as a finisher in the shortest format of the game. Marcus Stoinis ended with a unbeaten knock of 44 from 16 balls and hit four massive sixes in his knock along with three fours. Chris Gayle has most numbers of sixes in IPL history. The big man from the Caribbean hit 357 maximums in his IPL career while the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni follow him.

Marcus Stoinis' knock helped Punjab Kings cross the 200-run mark and his return to form is a great news for the franchise ahead of the playoffs. Also, this game is pretty crucial for them in terms of finishing in top-2, and Stoinis with his cameo has taken responsibility exactly when his team needed him to.

The Australian star has played for four different teams in the IPL. He started with Punjab Kings in 2016, and then played for RCB, DC and LSG too. His best season with the bat came for LSG in IPL 2023 when he scored 408 runs, and along with the bat, he is a useful bowler as well.
