In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansigh Stadium, DC's Karun Nair has hogged the internet after his brain-fade moment in the 15th over of the match. Notably, on the last ball of the 15th over, Shashank Singh looked to hit Mohit Sharma for a big shot and nearly hit a six.

However, Karun Nair went for the catch and nearly pulled off one but threw the ball back into the ground as he feared stepped on the boundary cushion. However, Karun Nair soon signalled a six, but the umpire still went upstairs for a boundary check. Interestingly, the replay showed that Karun had not touched the boundary rope, and reversed the on-field decision and it was just a single.

Internet Divided After The Decision

It is worth noting that the internet was divided after the decision as several fans laughed at Nair over his brain-fade moment, while other still felt that it was a six and the umpires didn't check all the angles and rushed to overturn their decision.

It is worth noting that it is not the first time in this season that such an incident has occurred as previously, Shivam Dube, too had a similar brainfade moment where he too signalled a six, which upon checking was overturned and he too became a laughing stock. Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this article, Punjab Kings are going strong and have put 167/5 after 16.5 overs.
