India suffered a massive setback on Wednesday morning, as one of their biggest medal contenders, Vinesh Phogat, was disqualified from the Paris Olympics.

After her heartbreaking exit, New Zealand cricketer James Neesham's famous tweet resurfaced, which the cricketer posted after his side's devastating defeat in the 2019 World Cup final.

Fans resonate with Neesham's Tweet after Vinesh's exit

Notably, Vinesh weighed around 100 grams more than the allowed value hours before her much-awaited final game in the Paris Olympics.

Initially, she was overweight by an amount of 100 grams. Despite trying her best and working out overnight, she could not meet the qualification criteria.

As a result, she was officially disqualified from the event, being ranked last on the list. After the disastrous result, the Indian fans dug out Neesham's five-year-old tweet, which resonated with their emotions.

Notably, New Zealand lost the World Cup final against England based on lower boundary count, as the latter clinched their first title in the 50-over format.

After New Zealand lost the 2019 World Cup final at Lord's by the barest of margins, Jimmy Neesham expressed his frustration through a tweet, that read,

"Kids, don’t take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy."

Notably, Vinesh got herself injured during the Rio Olympics, while crashing out of the Tokyo Olympics from the quarterfinal stage. The setback might haunt her for lifetime, as she might not feature in the next Olympics.
