Pakistan batter Mohammad Haris joined Sahibzada Farhan in taking a jibe at India by performing the controversial bazooka celebration in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy. After completing his century for Peshawar against Sialkot, Haris brought up the gun-firing celebration that earned massive outrage for Farhan from the Indian fans in the Asia Cup.

Sahibzada Farhan grabbed the limelight when he performed the bazooka celebration, which depicts the act of firing from a gun, after completing his fifty against India in the Asia Cup 2025. Although Farhan later clarified that it was not a politically influenced celebration, he faced the wrath of the Indian fans, who accused him of mocking the Indian army and supporting Pakistan's unverified claims of a win over their arch-rivals in the war between the two countries back in May.

Despite the ICC reprimanding him for his gesture, Sahibzada Farhan unveiled the controversial AK-47 'gunmode' sticker after receiving a grand welcome in Pakistan. Mohammad Haris joined him in the celebration, as he recreated it following his hundred in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy.

Left-arm spinner Mehran Mumtaz bowled a full length delivery around the leg stump, as Haris, batting on 99, guided it through the on side for a single to bring up his hundred. Captain Mohammad Rizwan, who was batting at the other end, embraced him with a warm hug, with Haris eventually performing the bazooka celebration.

The swashbuckling right-hander hammered eleven boundaries and four sixes for his blistering 113-ball 100*. As soon as he completed his century, Peshawar declared their first innings with 376 runs on the board.

Mohammad Haris could be picked for PAK vs SA T20Is

While Mohammad Haris was one of the notable exclusions from Pakistan's squad for the South Africa Tests, the keeper-batter is expected to feature in the three-match T20I series. He was Pakistan's third most successful batter in the Asia Cup, amassing 131 runs at an average of 21.83 and a strike rate of 133.67.
