Pakistan women's team have notched up a commendable total of 140-4 on the board in the second semifinal of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 against Sri Lanka women. Openers Gul Feroza and Muneeba Ali laid a perfect foundation to the innings, before captain Nida Dar stabilised the innings and Fatima Sana provided the perfect finish.

The opening pair of Feroza and Ali, who has been hit in the tournament, did a fine job during their 61-run stand for the first wicket. However, the pair went back to the dugout in a single over from Udeshika Prabodhani, which prompted a Nida Dar masterclass. 

The Pakistan captain played a brilliant cameo of 23 runs that came in just 17 balls, including two fours and one biggie. As Dar fell in the 15th over, Sana took the job in her hand as she snarred as many as three boundaries in her unbeaten 17-ball 23. She was well accompained by Aliya Riaz (13 off 12 balls).

Meanwhile, with the ball in hand, Prabodhani and Kavisha Dilhari were the pick of the bowlers as they scalped two wickets apeice. 

At the time of publishing, the Pakistani bowlers have already snapped two wickets in the chase, with the score reading 37-2 after 7 overs. Chamari Athapaththu and Kavisha Dilhari are the two unbeaten batters in the middle.
