The high-voltage World Cup match between Pakistan and New Zealand, taking place in Bengaluru on Saturday (November 4), has been interrupted due to persistent rain.

In a contest which the Men in Green will look for a win desperately to keep their semi-finals' hopes alive, Fakhar Zaman gave them a rollicking start with a swashbuckling century. They seemed to be down and out after New Zealand piled 401/6 batting first, but Fakhar's magnificent century, ably assisted by Babar Azam, took them to 160/1 after 21.3 overs before rain's arrival.

It is important to mention that Pakistan are 10 runs ahead of the DLS score, and if match does not resume, they will emerge victorious.

In addition, overs will start getting reduced after 5:40 PM IST.

How's the weather forecast in Bengaluru?

For those who don’t know, the equation after resumption, depending on when it happens, will change with time. If 10 overs are lost, Pakistan will require 175 more runs to get the job done. If that increases to 20 overs, Pakistan will need to score 92 more runs.

And even if the weather gods take 25 overs away from the contest, the Men in Green will have a target of 197, and they have to achieve it in the next 3.3 overs.

Nevertheless, if there is no more overs happening in this contest, Pakistan will get the win due to a better DLS score at this stage.
