The Under 19 ACC Asia Cup is inching towards its end, as we head to the semifinals of the championship. The Pakistan Under 19 team, who are the table toppers of Group A will lock horns with Under 19 UAE in the Dubai International Stadium on the 11th of December, 2023 (Thursday).
The Boys in Green have been unbeaten in the tournament so far beating the likes of India, Afghanistan and Nepal, while the UAE team have lost one of their three group-stage games against Bangladesh, but have managed to reach the semifinals.

Team Pakistan started their campaign with a thumping win over the Nepal U19 team by chasing a below-par total of just 152 in mere 26.2 overs. Even in the second game against India, team Pakistan were superb with their bowling effort and plucked early wickets. Despite India managing to reach a decent total of 259, the Saad Baig-led group finished the chase with three overs spare and eight wickets in hand.
Azan Awais has been nothing short of brilliant with the bat scoring 181 runs in just three games with a blistering average of 181 while the southpaw, Shahzaib Khan has aggregated 157 in three matches, averaging 52.33. With the ball, Mohammad Zeeshan has been exemplary, picking up 10 wickets in three games at an average of 8.80 and Ubaid Shah managed to pick up six wickets in three games as well.
UAE U19
Despite losing the very first match of the tournament against Bangladesh, the young UAE team made an impressive comeback winning back-to-back matches against Sri Lanka and Japan. Even though the contest against Sri Lanka was a close one, but the UAE team managed to pull off the win by just two wickets with two overs to go.
Tanish Suri has been a key player for the UAE as he has notched up 145 runs in just three games with an average of 48.33. Alongside Tanish, Maroof has been able to get some runs as well and he scored a vital 60 runs in the must-win game against Japan. And when it comes to bowling, the off-spinner Dhruv Parashar is the leading wicket-taker from the UAE team with eight wickets in three games.
