In a remarkable achievement, Bangladesh's legendary keeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim completed a valiant century in the ongoing first Test against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The right-handed batter brought up his eleventh Test century during the fourth day of the high-octane clash between two formidable outfits.

The incident occurred during the 116th over of Bangladesh's innings when Rahim had held the fort for Bangladesh alongside spin bowling all-rounder, Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

As Pakistan skipper Shan Masood brought off-spinner Agha Salman into the attack, the visiting batters constantly rotated the strike to keep the scoreboard ticking.

On the third delivery of the over, Salman bowled a good-length ball around the middle stump, as Rahim guided it off the back foot towards the square leg region.

Before the fielder could pick the ball up and throw it, the batters completed two runs, resulting in Rahim's fighting century.

Thus, the experienced campaigner completed his eleventh Test ton, surpassing Tamim Iqbal's tally of ten hundreds. Currently, he is only behind Mominul Haque on the list of batters with the most Test centuries for Bangladesh.

Riding on sensational knocks from Rahim, Shadman Islam, Litton Das and Mominul, Bangladesh have strongly responded to Pakistan's first innings total of 448/6. The Tigers were comfortably placed at 389 for six, eyeing for a crucial lead at lunch break on day 4.
