Most 50-Plus Scores In 2024: Yashasvi Jaiswal Joins Rohit Sharma After His Breathtaking 72 Vs BAN

Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken rapid strides in international cricket in the last year or so and has been consistent in both T20Is and Tests for India. He is also known for his aggressive batting, and he showed all of that in his swashbuckling knock of 72 off just 51 balls against Bangladesh in Kanpur. The fifty also helped him join Rohit Sharma on the list of batters with the most 50-plus scores in 2024, and he has now nine scores of 50 or more in international cricket this calendar year.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Continues To Impress In 2024

In his knock of 72, Jaiswal also contributed massively to creating the world record for the fastest team score in Test cricket. He also smashed the third joint-fastest fifty in Test cricket for India, as he reached his half-century off just 31 balls.

Along with Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma, the Sri Lankan duo of Kusal and Kamindu Mendis also have nine 50-plus scores in 2024. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran also have the same 50-plus scores this year, while the likes of Nissanka and Joe Root have eight 50-plus scores.

Most 50-Plus Scores in 2024

As far as Jaiswal is concerned, he has two centuries and seven fifties in 2024 while Rohit Sharma has three centuries and six fifties. Kamindu Mendis has the best conversion record among the players with most 50-plus scores as he has five centuries and four fifties. There is still lot of cricket to be played this year, and all these batters are expected to score more runs with the kind of form they have shown so far.
