India is playing against Bangladesh in the second Test of the two match series at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The majority of this match has been interrupted by rain. Day 2 and Day 3 of the game was completely washed out after India won the toss and put Bangladesh to bat on the first Day.
Mominul Haque scored a gutsy hundred
Bangladesh scored 107/3 in the 35 overs that were played on Day 1. After played resumed on Day 4, Bangladesh propelled to a total of 233 runs. Mominul Haque scored a brilliant hundred and remained unbeaten on 107 off 194 deliveries.
As India restricted the visitors to a moderate total, they came out with the approach to score runs quickly and try to extract a result from the game. The two openers, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal went all-out against the Bangladeshi bowlers and looked destructive in their approach.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the third fastest half-century for India in Tests
The Indian skipper played a breezy knock of 23 runs from 11 deliveries before he was dismissed. However, even after the dismissal of the Indian skipper, Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his destructive batting and kept on attacking the bowlers.
Eventually he reached his half-century off just 31 deliveries. This made him the joint third fastest fifty scorer in Test cricket for India.
