At that moment, Gill was in doubt and England appealed confidently. After a short pause, the umpire raised his finger. The Indian skipper made a clear mistake, giving England an important wicket at Old Trafford.

After securing the valuable wicket, Ben Stokes roared in aggression, and the English crowd joined in later. As the Indian skipper was on his way to the pavilion, the stadium erupted with a fierce chorus of boos from the home fans. That incident added extra spice to the match.

Stepping into the Test match, Team India is already aiming for a stronger bounce-back from their ongoing struggle in the series. Batting first, Team India got an impressive start as Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul stitched a 94-run partnership. After Rahul walked away scoring 46 runs, Jaiswal smashed another half-century.

After a 26-run partnership with Sai Sudharsan, Jaiswal walked away scoring 58 runs in 107 balls. Just as the Gill-Sudharsan duo looked to rebuild, Gill’s bizarre dismissal added to India’s troubles. Now, all eyes are on Sudharsan and Jadeja as they aim to script a crucial turnaround for Team India.
