Harshit Rana finally performed under pressure as he picked up a 4-wicket-haul in the 3rd ODI against Australia at SCG. Rana’s heroics turned his critics into admirers on social media.

In the first inning, Siraj got the breakthrough of Travis Head, followed by 2 crucial dismissals of Matthew Short and Renshaw courtesy of Washington Sundar.

To wipe off the middle and lower order, Rana stood up not only to take responsibility but also to give it back to his critics.

Harshit Rana praised for four-wicket-haul 

Last match’s heroes, Cooper Connolly and Mitchell Owen, couldn’t handle Harshit Rana’s pace and walked back on 23 and 1, respectively. 

Not only that, Rana also wiped off the tail by dismissing Josh Hazlewood and nailed a 4-wicket-haul, the first of his ODI career.

Harshit Rana, who was mercilessly trolled for his all-format selection, finally had a moment of redemption. His performance forced fans to stand up and take notice.

That being said, Harshit Rana is now the highest wicket-taker of the India vs Australia ODI series with 6 wickets in 3 games. 

His spell helped India restrict Australia to 236/10, which is the lowest total for the Aussies at Sydney Cricket Ground.

It's important to note that Australia have already secured the series with a 2-0 lead. The 3rd ODI is an opportunity for India to avoid a clean sweep and finish with a winning momentum.
