As many as three Indian batters completed their respective centuries, including overnight opener KL Rahul as the hosts mounted a huge first innings lead over the visiting West Indies team on Day 2. For West Indies bowlers, it was another tough day at work as Team India lost just three wickets while batting throughout the day.

KL Rahul breaks home drought with classy hundred
Resuming at 53*, overnight batter and unbeaten opener KL Rahul notched up his 11th Test century and his first on home soil in nearly a decade. The elegant right-hander crafted a 98-run partnership with captain and half-centurion Shubman Gill (50) before the latter was dismissed by Roston Chase.
KL Rahul himself carved out 12 boundaries in his 197-ball knock of 100 runs before he was caught at cover by Justin Greaves off Jomel Warrican at 218-4 in 67.5 overs.
Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja pile on West Indies pain
Having gone past West Indies’ 162 by some distance at the time of KL Rahul’s dismissal at 218-4, middle-order batters Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja further piled on the visitors' pain by composing a huge 206-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Both Jurel and Jadeja drew up scintillating hundreds, with the former making 125 off 210 balls with 15 boundaries and three sixes to record his maiden Test ton. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten till stumps, reaching 104* while batting alongside fellow spin-bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar as India reached 448-5 in 128 overs to go 286 runs up over West Indies.
