Karachi Kings pulled off a sensational heist against Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans at Karachi’s National Stadium in the third match of the PSL 2025 season. For the Kings, overseas batter James Vince bludgeoned a scintillating match-winning century to overshadow Rizwan’s hundred earlier in the game.
Here’s the timeline of how KK vs MS panned out in Karachi:
Rizwan, Kamran Ghulam Lead Early Charge For Sultans
Multan Sultans openers Mohammad Rizwan and Shai Hope (eight off seven) shared 55 runs from the first five overs of the match before the latter nicked one towards Tim Seifert off Hasan Ali. Usman Khan at number three failed to sustain the early momentum as the cricketer was dismissed for just 19 from 15 balls by Khushdil Shah (1-33).

At 82-2 in 8.4 overs, Kamran Ghulam forced forces with unbeaten opener and captain Rizwan to blaze the Multan Sultans to 145 before the end of the 15th over. Ghulam himself belted five boundaries and a six to whack 36 from 19 before he was deceived by Abrar Ahmed.
Bracewell Blitz, Rizwan Ton Boosts Sultans To 234
Tasked to accelerate in the final five overs of the innings, number five batter Michael Bracewell blasted five boundaries and three huge sixes to cart 44 unbeaten runs from just 17 balls.

Captain Rizwan also flayed nine fours and five maximums, as he went on to belt an unbeaten 105 from 63 balls, recording his second PSL and third T20 century in the process.
With both cricketers sharing 89 runs from the final 32 balls, the Multan Sultans franchise ended up mounting 234-3 off 20 overs upfront.
Akif Javed, Usama Mir Strike Early For Multan Sultans
Chasing a steep 235-run target, Karachi Kings lost both openers, David Warner (12 off six) and Tim Seifert (32 off 16) inside the powerplay overs to Michael Bracewell and Akif Javed respectively in quick succession to slip to a troublesome 52-2. Former captain Shan Masood, batting at number four, was also dismissed by Javed, albeit for a first-ball duck.
Arafat Minhas at number five further failed to get going as the cricketer minted just 10 runs from seven balls before getting castled by Usama Mir as the Karachi Kings crashed to 79-4 in 6.5 overs.
James Vince, Khushdil Shah Pummel Sultans
Forming forces at 79-4 towards the end of the seventh over, number three batter James Vince and middle-order star Khushdil Shah forged 142 runs together for the fifth wicket from just 67 balls to change the complexion of the chase. Shah flogged five fours and four huge sixes to slap 37-ball 60, while Vince blasted 101 from 43 balls with 14 boundaries and four maximums.

After blazing the Karachi Kings to the brink of a remarkable win, both Vince and Shah fell to a runout and to Akif Javed (3-41) respectively. However, Irfan Khan and Abbas Afridi shrugged off the remaining runs to steer Karachi Kings to a historic four-wicket win with four balls to spare.
