Multan Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan put on a commanding show in the 3rd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, currently underway at the National Stadium in Karachi, against hosts Karachi Kings. Batting first after the Kings opted to bowl, Rizwan's majestic ton lit up the evening as he silenced critics and reminded everyone of his class in the shortest format.

The Multan captain remained unbeaten on 105 off 63 balls, a knock laced with 9 fours and 5 sixes, and played a pivotal role in propelling his side to an imposing 234/3 in 20 overs. Mohammad Rizwan’s form had come under scrutiny in recent weeks, but he responded in style, dominating the bowlers and anchoring the innings with confidence and calm.

Rizwan leads from the front with unbeaten 104 in Karachi

Rizwan’s innings began steadily, building partnerships along the way. He first added 55 runs with Shai Hope, followed by a 27-run stand with Usman Khan. However, it was his explosive acceleration in the latter stages that changed the tempo of the match.

Rizwan's 63-run stand with Kamran Ghulam and an unbeaten 89-run partnership off just 32 balls with Michael Bracewell launched Multan into overdrive.

Multan’s innings gathered steam after the halfway mark, with Rizwan shifting gears and Bracewell providing the perfect finishing punch. The Sultans capitalised on poor bowling from Karachi, especially targeting Adam Milne and Hasan Ali, both of whom were taken apart.

With such a massive total on the board, Multan Sultans now have the upper hand, thanks to their captain's stellar knock that stamped his authority and answered every doubter with the bat. They now have to keep Karachi batters in control to bag their first win of the tournament.
